The National Center for the Twenty-first Century Schoolhouse supports the planning, design, and construction of learner-centered school facilities through communication, research, and training. New technologies, changing demographics, and evolving economic forces continue to affect the planning, design, and construction of schools in the 21st century. A growing body of research underscores the critical role school facilities play in the academic success of elementary and secondary school students. With this in mind, the National Center for the 21st Century Schoolhouse fosters an informed dialogue, connecting educational program with school design and encouraging long-term planning on behalf of students, parents, community members, and educators. http://go.sdsu.edu/education/schoolhouse/
